About Us
Hahn and Associates, Inc. (HAI) is a regional environmental consulting firm focused on solving the environmental issues of our clients. Established in 1987 in Portland, Oregon, HAI provides a personal approach to our clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. Some of the attributes of our firm that our clients have noted include our quick response, attention to detail, consistently high-quality work, and continuity of staff and services.
HAI serves both large and small clients in the commercial, industrial, public, and non-profit sectors. Our success in assisting our clients to manage environmental issues, while meeting their business goals, is demonstrated by our high rate of long-term client engagements. HAI promotes responsible stewardship of the environment through our quality of service, environmental awareness, and the technical and regulatory solutions that we provide for our clients.
HAI has successfully completed over 6,000 projects, including over 3,500 Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects and hundreds of Phase II ESA investigation, characterization and remediation projects ranging from undeveloped and residential properties to those with a complex and long-term history of industrial operations. We have weathered the recent fluctuations in the marketplace and continue to provide excellent service to our clients.
HAI has strong working relationships with state and federal regulatory agencies, including the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ), the Washington Department of Ecology (WDOE), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In particular, we have been very effective in bringing cleanup processes to a timely and cost-efficient conclusion and have obtained “No Further Action” (NFA) determinations for a variety of project sites and conditions.
