Mr. Gary Hahn, President and Principal

Gary founded Hahn and Associates, Inc. in 1987. He brings over 30 years of experience in the environmental field to HAI. His background is with governmental agencies and the private sector in the area of hazardous waste management, regulatory compliance, and site assessment and cleanup. Gary provides technical oversight to the HAI staff and is responsible for marketing, development, and administrative functions, and is also the chair of the HAI Management Team.

Mr. Roger Brown, R.G., Vice President and Principal

Roger is an Oregon-Registered and Washington-Licensed Professional Geologist and has conducted geologic and environmental site investigations, and cleanups for over 23 years. He has supervised HAI's Site Investigation Group since 1992. Roger is the Senior Technical Advisor for the company and provides quality control/quality assurance (QA/QC) for large or complex projects. He has managed or conducted Remedial Investigations (RI), Beneficial Use Determinations, Risk Assessments, Feasibility Studies (FSs, Remedial Design, and Cleanup Actions for complex sites within a variety of regulatory programs. Roger's other duties include client development and membership on the HAI Management Team.

Mr. Rob Ede, R.G., Principal

Rob is an Oregon-Registered and Washington-Licensed Professional Geologist specializing in the fields of geology and hydrogeology. Since 1991, he has been responsible for a wide range of projects, including soil and groundwater investigations, Remedial Investigations (RIs), and regulatory site closures reporting for a variety of commercial, industrial, and Brownfield properties. Rob is currently involved with the management of a large RI/FS project in the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) Voluntary Cleanup Program for a Portland Harbor riverfront property with both upland and in-water issues. His other duties include client development and membership on the HAI Management Team.

Gary Walvatne, R.G., Associate

Gary is registered in Oregon, Washington and California as a Professional Geologist and works in the fields of geology, hydrogeology, and environmental compliance (including RCRA permitting). Since 1985, he has been responsible for a wide range of projects, including soil and groundwater investigations, interim actions, corrective measures, and construction quality assurance under both RCRA and CERCLA for a variety of commercial, industrial, and Brownfield properties. He is also an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and has conducted numerous audits of environmental and quality management systems (EMS/QMS) for complex multi-facility governmental and private organizations, including conformance to ASME NQA-1 and ISO 14001. He is presently involved with investigations for a regional groundwater contamination site and source control for a property in the Portland Harbor EPA Superfund Site.

Ms. Nora Eskes, Senior Project Manager

Nora has conducted numerous Phase I ESAs since 1999, which have included large and/or complex properties, in both the public and private sector, for which extensive historical and regulatory file research has been required. Nora leads the Site Assessment Group, and is in charge of client development for Phase I ESAs, along with being a member of the HAI Management Team.

Ms. Charlotte Berghoffer, Project Manager

Charlotte has worked for over 6 years as an environmental consultant implementing Phase I ESAs for a wide variety of property types and has conducted Phase II site investigations for Brownfields and active commercial and industrial sites. She is an AHERA-certified asbestos inspector and a state-licensed lead-based paint inspector for a variety of commercial and industrial clients.

Mr. Dave Pardue, Project Manager

Dave has over 7 years of experience in conducting site investigations and remediation, Phase I and Phase II ESAs, and regulatory compliance projects for a variety of commercial and industrial clients. He is skilled at proposal, scope of work, and report preparation, and is licensed by ODEQ to decommission and cleanup USTs and heating oil tanks.

Mr. Joe Carrey, R.E.A., Senior Environmental Scientist

Joe has over six years in the environmental consulting industry performing Phase I and Phase II ESAs and site investigations. He has also decommissioned USTs, and collected and validated soil, soil gas and groundwater data.

Mr. Ben Uhl, Senior Environmental Scientist

Ben has worked in the environmental consulting industry since 2004, collecting and validating data for the preparation of soil and groundwater investigative reports. He also implements Phase II ESA investigations and conducts data quality assurance activities at HAI.

Ms. Jane-Clair Kerin, G.I.T., Environmental Scientist

Jane-Clair conducts and supports Phase II ESAs of undeveloped land, developed urban properties, as well as industrial properties. For HAI, she also provides data quality assurance activities.

Ms. Eleanore Ramsey, G.I.T., Environmental Scientist

Eleanore has worked for over 3 years conducting and supporting Phase I ESAs, including undeveloped land, watersheds, developed urban properties, residential properties, commercial developments and industrial properties in the western U.S. She has also worked for the U.S. Geological Survey acquiring and analyzing geophysical field data.

Mr. Corey Raspone, Environmental Scientist

Corey has worked since 2003 as an environmental field technician in the areas of groundwater monitoring well installation and Phase II ESA site investigation. At HAI, Corey provides the sampling of soils and groundwater related to Phase II ESA projects, subcontractor supervision and GIS data gathering and plotting.

Michelle has worked for over 2 years conducting and supporting Phase I ESAs of undeveloped lands, residential properties, developed urban commercial properties, and industrial properties in the western U.S.

Ms. Valerie Allen, Bookkeeper
|
 |
|
Valerie has worked as a full charge bookkeeper since 1987, and joined HAI in 1996. She manages bookkeeping, invoicing, and tracking for projects. Valerie is responsible for accounts receivable and payable, payroll and related taxes, and for office expenses. She provides weekly project budget information to assist the staff in meeting project goals.

Ms. Sharon Marr, Receptionist

|
Sharon joined HAI in 1997. As the receptionist, she is often the first client contact at HAI. In addition, Sharon provides project manager administrative support, prepares reports for mailing, and maintains the HAI subcontractor files. She assists the HAI staff in a support role to provide exceptional client service.
